General Litigation

In addition to the focused areas in which each of our lawyers practice, our lawyers also handle matters of general litigation. The litigation groups in both the Charleston and Morgantown offices endeavor to provide the best possible defense for you by assessing both the strengths and the weaknesses of your case. Our training and experience in handling matters throughout the State have allowed us to develop both the legal knowledge necessary to protect your interests and a knowledge of the system and the individuals involved in that system. The general litigation group handles cases across all lines, including personal injury, premises liability, property damage, construction, breach of contract, and administrative law. In addition to providing representation to you through insurance carriers, we also directly represent corporations, sole proprietors and individuals in the various types of legal matters they may face.

All of the attorneys at MacCorkle, Lavender, Casey & Sweeney PLLC, regardless of their practice area, feel strongly that the clients' needs can only be served by effective and timely communication with the client, substantial investigation into the facts of the case and a detailed analysis of the evidentiary issues presented throughout discovery of the case.

We look forward to serving your civil litigation needs and invite you to contact John MacCorkle, Thomas Sweeney or Albert Dunn in the Charleston office at 304/344-5600; jmaccorkle@mlclaw.com; tsweeney@mlclaw.com; or adunn@mlclaw.com or P. Gregory Haddad in the Morgantown office at 304/599-5600 or ghaddad@mlclaw.com as the initial contacts to address matters you may wish us to handle.
